Not only does this include the emissions from gas and electricity used onsite but also the emissions from the production and transport of the food and coffee they sell. This is a significant investment in a more sustainable future as the emissions from food production and transport can amount to a quite a large climate change impact.
Fresh Espresso and Food Bar commissioned the Carbon Reduction Institute to undertake an emissions audit of their business and through the NoCO2 scheme run by the Carbon Reduction Institute have committed to running a carbon neutral café. This means that every time you purchase a coffee or meal from Fresh Café they have offset all the emissions produced from the growing of the vegetables or meat, all processing and transport and the energy they use onsite to prepare the food for you.
